In the spring of 1998, elementary school teacher Lisa Silver, decided to change careers. Realizing a need in the Houston, Texas marketplace for a baby-furniture/gift shop that could provide the finest merchandise, including imported cribs, chests and changers, as well as custom bedding from America's best designers, and cute monogrammed gifts, all at affordable prices, Lisa approached her mother, Irene Pearlman. Mom agreed and they founded Doodles together. The rest is history.
