Types of Strollers

Sifting through all the different types of strollers on the market can be overwhelming. For the most part, there are only a few designs and style to choose from, though it may seem like there are a lot more.

When you get past all of those extra features and benefits, you will discover that there are only seven different types of strollers out there. Those seven sorts include: lightweight, standard, travel, universal, multi, active, and prams. Now, let’s look a bit further into each sort. To begin, let’s start with the most popular one these days, the active stroller.

It seems as though everyone has some type of jogger lately. Even if a parent is not active, the jogger just happens to be the newest trend. Parents that like to jog, hike, bike, or ski should look into this type of child transport. Next, the lightweight carriage is practical for every type of parent. Though lightweight ones tend to be basic, they are also extremely handy. Most of these fold up without any extra effort, and most of them include umbrellas. Standard carriages are usually mid-sized, simple, and comfortable. You can find lots of standard ones that include a lot of extra features, but you’ll pay more for these.

One of the newest types of strollers on the market is the travel system. These are great for the parent with a newborn that loves to travel. These systems include a car seat that can be moved from the car to a stroller with minimal effort. In fact, if you are going to buy just one carriage for your child, consider the travel system. It really makes a lot of sense to allow your car seat to transform into your carriage without any extra work.

As you can see, out of these seven options there is a carriage for everyone out there. If you want something that you can bring hiking and biking with you, there is a company that makes the carriage for you. If you are the type that just wants a basic one, there is a company catering to your needs. Remember to check those safety records and that warranty – otherwise, it’s all a matter of personal taste.

Research the different types of strollers out there to find the one that really suits your lifestyle. While becoming a parent used to mean changing your lifestyle, this is just not the case anymore.
